This could have been avoided with some thought about the experiment. Why not run them in small batches instead of en-masse? Why not have some check on the maximum number of orders a restaurant can process in a time window? Their infrastructure failed in other parts of the country, meaning they didn't have good scaling and robustness built in.

Oh yeah, dad had his car stolen today. Turns out the ring doorbells in the neighborhood were all jammed but one person with CCTV managed to get some grainy footage that probably won't be of any help to the authorities.
